We had quite a time choosing a pediatrician! We had several wonderful doctors referred to us by St. Aloysius parishoners. However, long & short we chose Dr. Art Tribou based on wonderful referrals. We have visited Dr. Tribou twice thus far. He is just wonderful with us first time parents and parents of a premie! He is so good with baby Christopher as well. Our last visit with Dr. Tribou was Monday, July 26th. At this appointment Christopher weighed in at 4 lbs. 11 oz! He gained 10 oz's in one week! Christopher is nursing 4 times a day and Dr. Tribou is hopeful that Christopher will be exclusively nursing in 2-3 weeks. Christopher received his first vaccine at this appointment. He was such a big boy and actually was rather calm afterwards, which we parents were very grateful for. It's just too bad we couldn't reward him with McDonald's ice cream : ( We return to Dr. Tribou in two weeks and we are hoping he will be up to 6 lbs. by then! Christopher is now 4 weeks old. He is also considered a full-term baby now, because today he would be 37 weeks gestational age. The picture above is Christopher right after he received his vaccine. We are very grateful for Christopher's wonderful nurses in the Special Care Nursery at Woman's and we are also now very grateful for Dr. Tribou's help on making sure Christopher is on the right path to optimal growth and health!
